Re: Anybody running 6m on QDX?
Hello Jeff, I don't have a QDX for 6m, but I modified the QCX MINI to work
on 6m, it has been transmitting 24h24 in WSPR mode for more than a year, it
has 3W output, I think u. QDX can be modified

Anybody running 6m on QDX?
Hi All.
I have recently sold the rig I used to have running 6m FT8 to monitor for
openings. Was wondering if there is anybody that has a QDX set-up and
running on 6m? Would love to connect to

Re: Stuck on my QMX build
Michael,
If the buttons and the right encoder don't respond , check the ground connection to the control board, the upper left pin ( or either of the button contacts near the top edge).? Also be sure

Re: #QMX holy smoke released again, C107 and D108 destroyed

Gunnar,
If this was a high voltage HW/SW glitch, you should ?have fried the whole 5 V bus, or at least IC402/403. My similar failure occurred at 13+ V but did not take out the 5 V bus, so I don't

I've obtained some spectrum analyser images of the output from my QMX running at 12.5V.? This is in preparation for fitting Zeners so we can check before and after.? This is the before.

Gunnar,
I am beginning to think that C107 has too low a rating (6.3 V), and it will occasionally self destruct for no apparent reason. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of room for alternative

Re: QMX step 12 continuity oddity
Garrett,
It still makes on sense to me that you have continuity between B1 & B2, but B2 shows 10 ohms to the A points and B1 does not. Try swapping your probes around and see if that changes

Re: #QMX holy smoke released again, C107 and D108 destroyed

Hi Gunnar
I noticed that C107 was getting warm at a supply voltage of 6v, and that D108 ceased working as a zener. C107 is only rated at 6.3v according to the parts list...which is OK til something

Re: QDX Build Completed
That reminds me, Dell computers run a service "Waves Audio Services" that should be disabled.
I'm not sure it has affected me but some users of WSJT-X have reported problems.
There was also another

Wsjtx does however at least show what is being sent and received in two places other than the screen. In the UDP data stream, and logged in the all.txt file.

Re: QDX Build Completed
John,
I expect these settings satisfy 95% of Windows users.
Radio Hams need to turn off all audio "enhancements" when they start using a Windows computer.

Re: QDX Build Completed
Late posting this, but want to complete the story.
Turned out my transmit issues were due to some "automatic" attenuation that defaults on Windows 10 and 11.
Here is Paul Jorgenson's excellent post

Well... I just finished my second QMX, the first one was toasted by increasing the supply voltage from 6V to 12V wiith a ramp-up time of 3milliseconds.

Re: QDX 20-10 9v
Maybe a better description.
What version QDX?
L4?? are you sure?
Terminal shows only 80m, do a reset?
WSJT works? RX and TX? All bands?
USB sketchy? How?
D1, 4 shorted? Seems unlikely.

Q6 failure has been reported, possibly static from antenna.
Or, a bad joint showing up.
