Re: Obsessive QMX tracking
Hi all I discussed with our FedEx account manager, he agrees it should take 1-3 days (2 days average). If there is a weekend in the middle, add 1 calendar day (Turkey has a 6-day working week).

Re: QMX on high bands?
This mid range option looks achievable with the existing kit, something like this :- Start by not installing the 80m LPF parts, build and test on 60/40/30/20. Add a tap to the BPF inductor at 13 or 14

Re: Clock range for QDX Lo ?
Hello John I don't know the answer to your question, unfortunately. But I'd be surprised if being 2.5 kHz low on a 25 MHz oscillator stopped it working. I don't think the requirements of USB clocking

Re: QDX won't load firmware...?
I'm curious to see this, but there are multiple versions of the assembly manual, and I'm not finding it... which version were you looking at? And thanks for the other ideas, I'll look into those too.

I can confirm Cliff AE5ZA observations regarding 1_00_004 firmware and digi modes on my QMX (#133). WSJT-X loads up connects and tests fine, even passing PTT test. But when going to FT8 and trying to

Re: QMX #146 is toast
Thanks for the suggestion. I've built 4 QCX units and the screen contrast on the QMX was set the same way--reducing the contrast until the boxes were barely visible. No text ever appeared. No home

Re: QMX on high bands?
Hey Mike - that would be an amazing set of bands when I'm out portable.? Nice balance between antenna size and usable bands both locally and DX when hiking. 73/72 Jeff - VE3CW / VA3JFF

Re: QMX #146 is toast
The row of boxes on the display is likely the "Contrast" pot setting (R47 I believe)....the manual doesn't tell you to turn/set it fully CCW for an initial setting.....i.e. Having boxes showing is

QMX #146 is toast
I was able to load the firmware with a 9v smoke detector battery as a power source. And I put electrical tape over the back of the power socket to keep it from shorting against the rotary controller.

Re: #QMX firmware 1_00_004 #qmx
Congrats on the FW progress! My feedback is that the FW update completed and the QMX rebooted and displayed 1_00_0004 on the screen. But the QMX was in a "hang" state and could? not be powered off

It also works in WSJT-X. However, you can't select it, you have to type the whole string. 73, Uli DF7SC
