I had 3 contacts on 40m during 1300z session.? No confirmed QCX.? Heard lots of activity, probably could have made a few more contacts if I had not been so chatty and if QRM had been less.? 3 states: TN, MI, VA, with VA being longest haul this time at 1102 mi (abt 1800 km).

Well, not brilliant but I worked OK1KW (Milan), R1OAE (Yuri) and 9H3FC (Kris) on 20m with the QCX from 1300-1400UTC.
Kris was also running 3W from an Elecraft K2 I think. Much QSB!

go t good feedback from reverse Beacon? on 20 even from US but no one heard.

Hans was calling a lot bur could not hear me as well as EA2CA.
Finally got 9H3FC Kris and UN7NFD Galym both non QCX but QRP.

Kris tried to call Hans as well but was not heard.

Not time at 19 utc and 3 UTC is useless on 20 I believe. So next try in April.

Hopefully, when you found that radio balloon on some pristine mountain top, you picked it up and disposed of it properly.

Hard for me to make sure that the probe on the solder pad and not touching the wire anywhere.
As a result, I use the silkscreen diagram to find another location connected to the solder pad?
via a trace and put the probes on those locations.

Example: T1 secondary 3, the largest coil on T1, connects from ground to inboard terminal of C1,
so thats where I put the probes.? No concern that I may be touching the wire doing this.

Re: QCX QSO Party 25th March 2019 #qcx #qrp-dx

Hi All,
Been looking forward to todays QSO party but almost nil heard on 40 meters so went up to 20 meters where conditions sounded better. Called throughout the band but no contacts, also no reports of my signals on RBN. Back down to 40 where I caught the taillend of DK4RW/G0ILN. Couldn't hear G0ILN but managed QSO with DK4RW/Wolf in Frankfurt even though I was somewhat out of time. It was about 1420z. Still it's my first QCX to QCX QSO and I'll be on again at 1900z. Thank you Wolf for putting up with my awful morse.

QCX party -March 2019

Well my QCX kits sadly are still unbuilt, but I took a few moments to tune in to a couple of web based SDR's for the first hour of the QSO party.? I heard JA6TMW coming in to Utah and then I tuned in on an SDR in the UK and heard PA0CMU and DK4RW.? I guess 40m wasn't in tip top shape this morning but the little QCX's had very nice sounding signals.

Re: QCX QSO Party 25th March 2019 #qcx #qrp-dx

In the 1300Z session, 2 watts from my QCX-30 and 50m long doublet at 7m agl made it to 3 stations in Europe, best dx 1375 km.? Only heard those 3, bad QSB.? Sadly no QCXs but happy with that overall.

One contact/ one QCX - 40m; my first QCX contact and about 5th on CW at all. Sorry N3MNT, my fist was a train wreck! Thanks for putting up with me.?

What a great little radio.?

Re: QCX QSO Party 25th March 2019 #qcx #qrp-dx

Hi all

I found condx very difficult here though there were some spots on RBN. I tried both 20m and 40m with lots of CQs, heard no answers...

Only station worked Reinhard DF4TD on 14060 just before the end of the hour, I have no idea whether he was using a QCX or what his power was because signals both ways were so weak.?

After 1400Z I moved down the band a bit and worked Frank OV1CDX on 14014 and later?Alim 4K6FO on 14012.5. Both QRO stations. Frank using 600W? :-O? ?Me my humble QCX of course.?

I've emailed Bruce to see if we can have the link to 3830 activated.? I'll let you all know when its available.?

Thanks for the Q Carel (PA0CMU) your signal varied from 589 to completely gone but mostly around 559 which I think I sent.? It was my only contact in the session and my first QCX/QCX- nice sounding rig!

Catch you all again later

Wonder if anyone heard me and tried to reply. I thought i heard one extremely faint call but it could have been ringing. ?JS6TMW?

I made 5 qso's in the 1300z slot on 40m with: OK1WSL (5W / no-QCX), F5JKK, DL1LQR, IK1HZV and GM0EUL (all QCX users).
Nice! Let's wait for 1900z now.

Unfortunately, the 383scores is not QCX yet.
3 contacts and 2x QCX on 20m

Difficult conditions here too.? Nothing at all on 20 and I got very few RBN spots.? Managed one QSO on 40m with Carel, PA0CMU also using a QCX.

Always fun, I'll try again at 1900.
