Re: de minimis shipping to US from China is ending
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIt seems to say that IF it¡¯s under $800 AND not shipped via International Post THEN it will be subject to a tariff¡¡ maybe I read it wrong? It clearly states China. John KK4ITX? On May 2, 2025, at 11:04, Ben Bangerter, K0IKR via groups.io <bwbangerter@...> wrote:

Re: Feature Request List?
I¡¯d like to see the QMX and Plus be able to remember the last mode each band was in as you step through the bands.?
eg, I¡¯m using 20 meter USB and step through the bands to say 40 meters. It would be nice if it remembered that I was using LSB the last time I was on 40 instead of having to change it from USB. Definitely not a need¡just a luxury. Maybe it would extend the life of the encoder a bit.? |
Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
?
This is the empirical answer.? For example, on my QMX, wound for 12 volts
?
Voltage |? 60m |? 40m |? 20m |? 17m |? 15m
9v???????? | 4.1W | 3.6W | 3.6W | 3.2W | 2.8W
12v?????? | 6.4W | 5.7W | 5.9W | 4.9W | 3.9W
?
?
I would wager that if the QMX is a 12 volt units that you will see somewhere around the 4W range for 9 volts.

Hans, customs might be more of a problem this year if you are bringing samples with you to FDIM.?? You will probably need proof of origin because "all electronics must be from China". unless proven otherwise.? Plan on paying tariff at point of entry.? Good luck, see you there. Re: QDX + Digital Radio Mondiale
Umut:? Announcing your intention to operate a pirate radio station on a public forum is likely to (or, should) earn you the disdain of other licensed Amateurs, who obey the regulations,
and perhaps contact by, or even a visit from, the local PTT or whomever administers radio regulations in Turkey.??
I would suggest you re-think your plans.

In my opinion the only way to confirm your first assumption is to remove the controller or lift the related pins and check the resistance. What should someone do from remote?

Re: QMX battery suggestion
That's a great price on a 2200 mAh 3S battery for a QMX kit.? How do you ship without paying much extra? 3S batteries are great, I have 1 ea 3200 mAh?+ 2700 mAh @ $25 ea from Amazon DIM 3" x 1.5" x 1" with eBay T x 2.1 mm x 5 mm barrel connector dongle?@ $8 ea. Makes for a nice compact QMX kit. On Fri, May 2, 2025 at 4:12?PM N1EDC via <dragonfanatic90=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: QDX + Digital Radio Mondiale
The QRP Labs QDX transceiver is designed specifically for single-tone frequency shift keying (FSK) digital modes, such as FT8, JS8Call, RTTY, and Olivia. It is not suitable for modes that require multiple simultaneous tones or phase shift keying (PSK), such as PSK31 or Winlink. Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) employs complex modulation schemes involving multiple carriers and phase/amplitude modulation, which are beyond the capabilities of the QDX. Therefore, the QDX cannot be used to transmit DRM signals On Fri, May 2, 2025 at 11:43?PM Sean [AK6BM] via <ak6bm.radio=[email protected]> wrote:

QDX + Digital Radio Mondiale
Hello there , New Ham , New QDX user where the radio has been donated to me by TRAC friends in Istanbul. I reached Australia , Antarctica and Greenland with a 5 volt pc supply and an untuned cable antenna dropped from a window on a concrete wall. Now , I want to transmit a few hours daily in - digital radio mondiale - mode and I will make a pirate radio. Can QDX help me ? Umut TA2JCO |
Re: QMX: C107 burned
I have already received various offers from OMs who would replace the STM32. However, no one currently has a programmed STM32. Furthermore, I have not yet received any confirmation as to whether my assumptions regarding the possible defect of the STM32 are plausible. I find this particularly frustrating because I would prefer to understand and fix such errors myself.

QMX battery suggestion
Wanted to give a heads up - I haven't seen this battery in stock for a bit and I think it is a perfect match for the QMX.? I thought they were discontinued...
?
It's the Turnigy 9xR
?
3S LiPo cell, very small (approximately a stick of gum sized, a little larger), and it has a protection PCB built in to prevent over discharge or over current.
2.2AH of capacity, 3.3A max continuous current, 12.6v fully charged
?
Can't argue with the price either at under $10
