OT - Problems posting to Knightsqrss...
"Bob"
This is a little OT but since I can't post to Knightsqrss for an answer
and the list owner never replies, I'll try here. Messages I send never seem to post. I enter the posting page at Knightsqrss@..., compose message and send. I set acknowledge on and I get an acknowledgment that the list server received my post but it never shows up. I've tried plain text, no go. I use gmail......Any ideas? I'd like to show my captures....Help... TNX...Bob...WA1EDJ... |
Success on 10.140
"ae5xae5x"
Brain fart on my previous question...all is well.
I just completed and put my beacon on the air a few moments ago and am showing up on W4HBK's grabber site in Pensacola. Output power is 100 mW to a dipole up 65 feet (21m). Currently running off 4 AAA batteries till I can find a 6v wall wart somewhere in my junque pile tomorrow. Screenshot of the grabber: Saludos, John AE5X |
Question on TONE output of IC1
"ae5xae5x"
I haven't looked at the RF out yet so this question may be premature but shouldn't the callsign repeat periodically on Pin 2 (Tone out) of the Atmel chip?
Upon applying power, I hear my callsign once, then a steady tone for ~10 secs or so. Then tone - silence - tone - silence at a steady rate, but no more callsign. Thanks, John AE5X |
Beacon kit updates
Stephen Farthing
Hi Guys, Just a quick note to say that the next batch of kits are being shipped over the next few days. Sorry about the delay but the demand exceeded my capacity to kit and I had to order more parts as our initial estimate of 50 kits for 30 meters was way to low.?
I will have a few 30 meter kits left and 15 40 meter kits and 15 80 meter kits once the existing orders are met. Hans and I are undecided about producing more beacon kits for a while. We will have sold 183 30 meter kits - some to DX locations e.g. Vietnam. This has made Hans and I very happy; we covered our costs and have some money in the bank for future projects.?
Thanks for all the support, 72/73 de Steve G0XAR (and Hans G0UPL) -- It is vain to do with more that which can be done with less. |

Apologies for the delay, I was away on holiday last week. I passed my waiting list over to Steve G0XAR and he will be contacting each member individually. I understand from Steve that he's working through the list and expects to be complete by the end of this week. 73 Hans G0UPL --- In QRPLabs@..., "Charlie , W5COV" <cvest@...> wrote:

Availability of beacon kits
"Stephen"
Guys,
Hans and I are delighted to announce that the new batch of beacon kits are ready. The pricing is as follows :- Each kit costs ?10, a spare programmed keyer chip is ?2 if ordered with a kit. Postage, payment and packing charges PER KIT are :- Packing in a Jiffy bag from Poundland - ?0.25 First class mail within UK - ?0.66 Airmail within Europe is ?1.31 Airmail Rest of World ?1.82 Paypal 4% of transaction costs. Secure delivery - please ask More than 1 kit? - please ask, we will try to keep post/packing charges to a minimum, How to order:- 1. If you have already given an order to me/Hans you are in the queue, if not please email me at squirrox@... with "Beacon Kit Order" in the subject line. Things I need to know are :- a) The callsign you want programmed into the keyer chip - please note "/" is not permitted at this time b) The band(s) you want, we only do 30, 40 and 80 meters c) How many kits you want. d) If you need a spare programmed keyer chip e) The country you want the kit sent to f) If you need secure delivery 2. I will acknowledge your order and later EMail you when i am ready to ship it to you. I will tell you how much the cost will be. You then pay me by Paypal - sorry but that is the only option for payment we have for now. Put the delivery address in the Paypal instructions. 3. Once Paypal tell me the money is in my account I will ship the kits to you. 4. This seems a bit complicated, but I don't want to take your money then find out we have run out of kits as we did at Dayton and have to get the funds back to you. 5 We are unlikely to run out of kits for a while - I have 130 PCBs in stock and it is easy to get more. 6. The next rally we will be selling at is the GQRP club at Rishworth in October, Pordenone in the spring is a strong possibility.. Er, thats it ...feel free to ask any questions. A new version of the source code for the keyer will be posted on Han's site shortly. It corrects a bug in the "Y" character and allows embedded spaces within callsigns. If there is sufficient interest i will post details of how to program your own keyer on the QRPLabs group. 72/3s from Steve G0XAR, (and Hans G0UPL) |

开云体育Good Blog post Dave. On my return from a weeks trip overseas, I replaced my
4 'C' cells in the margarine container that houses my qrss kit from FDIM. I see
my k0nwt in the screen grab you posted at about 0090. I'm about 4400 miles from
Johan's grabber - fun stuff!

The QRSS grabber compendium is a great place to start, for finding the grabbers. I guess you've seen it already. 0.000073 de Hans G0UPL --- In QRPLabs@...m, Dave Clausen <daveclausen@...> wrote:

开云体育Dave the W4hbk grabber in Fla and kl1x/5 in ok are
running.

I have gotten captures from both in the last few
days.
?
I will have to check the DX grabbers and see if I
can be seen. From the mid south I doubt it , but who knows.

Good luck

Success! I'm QRV now and visible on ON5EX's grabber. It looks like I'm
centered at about 10.140.0010 MHz, slowly drifting down, with a shift of 4 or 5 Hz. That is about what I estimated at home using a general-purpose audio spectrometer program on my Mac. This is cool. Are there any other working grabbers online I can check? So far ON5EX's is the only one I've found that is actively updating. 72/73, Dave W2VV |
