Re: Tone or birdie every 500 Hz in USB mode
I see it on a QMX+ I haven't yet updated with the SSB beta, maybe with a bit lower amplitude; are you sure it wasn't there before?

Re: Tone or birdie every 500 Hz in USB mode
I didn't notice it in digi mode before the SSB beta.

There is plenty of room in the QMX+ on the development board for the best solution in QRP SSB mode, which is neither compression
or CESSB but rather linear amplification, a tried and true solution. It

Re: Tone or birdie every 500 Hz in USB mode
I hear mine most on LSB. The sound changes on USB, and it's an on and off tone that repeats. I can hear them from 17 meters to 6 meters, and strongest on 12 meters. They seem to have gotten

Re: Tone or birdie every 500 Hz in USB mode
I'm just wondering if they might be the reason it seems "deaf" on MSK144 mode, since there is a birdie right at 1500 which is the center of DF frequency in MSK144..

Re: Tone or birdie every 500 Hz in USB mode
This is also happening on my QMX+ in Digi mode into WSJT-x.
So it should have nothing to do with AGC or with the SSB update - ?the SSB firmware should not have changed the Digi signal path, excepting

Re: QMX+ "Tune SWR" for 1 second?
Something that may be relevant was that I found that my QMX+ needed to have the Rise Threshold reduced to 60 to start transmitting. I then found that it would only transmit for a few seconds. I found

So that eliminates the power supply as the source of interference.

Stan, thank you for sticking with me on this. I'd reflowed 7 of the 11 pins and the last 4 were apparently where the problem was. I was reading the schematic incorrectly perhaps, because I thought I

Re: Qmx plus rev 2 not powering up
Azgael,
Your fix is not quite what you think.
You did indeed connect the Source of Q102 o the input of IC101.
But the schematic connects the Drain of Q102 to IC101 input.
What you did is bypass the
