Well it didn't go quite as well as expected. FLRIG and FLDIGI worked using QDX as transceiver in FLRIG. WSJT-X and JTDX both receive fine but fail to turn on TX on the QDX. Looks like some

Re: Feeding 30 MHz into the Si5351A with the Ultimate3S
You might try using your 15MHz reference directly.? I know the '5351A isn't exactly specified for this (other devices in the family are though), but I send a 10MHz 3V-logic-level clock to the '5351A

Re: Feeding 30 MHz into the Si5351A with the Ultimate3S
Hello Halden 30MHz was tried before. The Si5351A works but the spectral purity is greatly impaired. U3S would work too if you set the reference to 30MHz. But as I said if you put a spectrum analyzer

Re: Si5351a issues with frequency resolution (step size) at 144MHz (or even lower frequencies)
Hi Ron.? I don't think those frequency error examples are the best I can do if I switch to the Adafruit library, which seems to allow easier direct? manual control of some of the parameters Using

As others have said, the coax is usually RG174.? Because the antenna is active, i.e. it has an internal amplifier, loss in the coax is relatively unimportant.? I believe a 5m run would introduce

I have wondered if the Superbat coax products available on Amazon are good quality or not. The brands that I know are good are Belden and Times Microwave (an Amphenol subsidiary).? But they're more

Re: Si5351a issues with frequency resolution (step size) at 144MHz (or even lower frequencies)
Yes Gyula, that seems to be it, thanks.?? It doesn't allow assigning even integer output dividers but I probably remember wrong.? It does seem to use even integer output dividers if possible.

Well it's marked as currently unavailable and no date for when it will be back in stock and have you checked it doesn't produce a dense fog of RF interference?

That should be fine, I would probably get the one with the aluminum box, but that¡¯s just me. You still have to wire it up, but that¡¯s not hard. 73, Willie N1JBJ

I've seen lots of folks recommend various DYI solutions that involved buying a basic "Buck-buck" circuit board off Amazon and then wiring it up, and then placing it in a smallish container. Is there

Re: QDX pairs nicely with the Micro PA50
Well, thinking more on this, unless the PTT activation changes the band to the correct one in the amp, even delaying the RF won¡¯t help. I have seen little amps that you change the band manually with
