Re: Connect QCX to GPS
Hi Barry, I use a 2,5 mm mono socket for the 5V, and a 3,5 mm stereo socket for signals and ground, witch are quite easy to get and eliminate the risk to short the 5 V. See pictures on the F6DFZ

Re: QCX-WSPR-QLG1 startup
Hi Hans and all, When I use WSPR, before connecting the GPS, I set the menu 4.7 to Practice ON. Then I connect the GPS. Doing this , there is no bad luck to fry the PA, and at the end of the first

Re: Magnet Wire " of colour "
IMHO, One wired we don't have to bother much. Most of us have some sort of continuity checkers. Hence there should be no need to search for colored winding wires at one off Homebrew levels. Neither it

Re: Clock kit / QLG-1
Hi Seth Have you enabled the GPS in the Clock menu? See page 7 of the operating manual. You need to set the "GPS {Mode Baud}" parameter to "2 009,600". By default, GPS is not enabled. 73 Hans G0UPL

Re: Rasberry Pi WSPR Decode
Hi Jan, Yes, I? don't find BFO parameter in WSJT-X :( Other idea will be to use some other software to shift audio signal from QCX filter (~ 500-700Hz) to WSJT-X bandpass (1400 -1600Hz). Spectrum Lab

Re: Magnet Wire " of colour "
Hello Mike, Mine arrived today, the insulation is not enamel, so I rang them, it's NOT suitable for electronic usage, it's coated copper to take an anodized top colour, so no good for winding coils.
