Re: Ref: QRSS Ultimate 2: Reference Frequency keeps changing..... SOLVED!
In my desperate rush to get back home this weekend and into the shack to change the power supply (thinking it could be a unstable power source and hence being the cause of the problem), I connected my

Re: Changing the center freq. of the CW filter
Thanks for the extremely helpful reactions ! I'll go for 580Hz then. I guess the announced additional configuration menu item on DSP centre frequency is not yet in the current f/w ...? 73, Enno, PF5X

Here are Hans answers to me when I wanted to go for 450 Hz: Hello Rolf ? Yes, there should not be any problem doing that. As I noted in the manual, the CW filter in the QCX is a slightly modified

Re: Changing the center freq. of the CW filter
I did it for 480hz without any changes in audio phase shift frequencies, unwanted side band suppression is still absolutely amazing. Greg w3nw --------------------------------------------

Re: QCX Build Step 3.47 - NEWBIES be careful
I find the simplest way to control ¡°flying pins¡± is to position your side cutter on the pin and simply place a fingertip on the pin to be cut. This dampens the ¡°spring¡± effect and the will

Re: QCX Build Step 3.47 - NEWBIES be careful
Hilarious, many laughs, thanks folks... Hans, a great explanation of bugs and we're in awe at the QCX and it's development. I look forward to attaching two bugs to the QCX soon, one is from the 1940s,

Re: Crystal Heat Sink for the Synth module
Hello Micheal. I had a similar problem in 20m trying to get the drift stable. Before doing anything to the rig, I used to get awful drift. Really to the point of getting zero spots. -4 -3 were very

Re: Crystal Heat Sink for the Synth module
Well that's promising. The first 8 spots after getting the PA lined back out had 0 drift. Maybe the brass donut did the trick. on 80m the same rig was drifting between 1 and 2.

Re: PA Bias- Adjust after band switch?
Well... I put the U3s on the bench, hooked up the oscilloscope, and sure enough, output with (3) BS-170's and a little over 8V was only a little over 100mW. I moved it up to 500mW. We'll see how it

PA Bias- Adjust after band switch?
Should I reset my PA bias after switching bandpass filters?? I wouldn't think so. I ask because I had about 500mW with the 80m filter last night and now on 30m I get 100mW. I set the bias with my
