Re: Finished to build QRSS TX
Hi Hans,
I'm very happy to hear from you.
Well OK I misunderstood that PIN #2 outputs AC not DC.
I connect the Blue LED with 2.2k-ohm resister into PIN #2.
There has no problem until now and it seems

Re: Finished to build QRSS TX
Hello Hidehiko San
Thanks for sharing your fine photos with us!
Note that the chip is actually from the AVR family of microcontrollers produced by manufacturer Atmel. Not a PIC from Microchip.

80 meters
My beacon is on 3500.850 and throughout the night. Last night, I was
spotted in Nova Scotia, Florida and New Mexico. Hope to catch some of you
on the gray line. Thanks for looking.

QRSS 80 meters - Europe - take a Look
I am QRV on 3500.850. Vern has spotted me in Nova Scotia and SV1BKE's
carrier appears to be above me. So as those of you in Europe wake up, give
a look for me and see if we are "crossing the

QRV 80 meters
I finished the 80 meter beacon last weekend and had a few problems. I first
destroyed a few 2N7000s by turning R8 fully counter clockwise instead of
clockwise - read the directions!!
Then I could

Re: [qrp-l.org] Don't forget the NoGA Guppy!! A T/R switch...
What I am looking for is a Power Meter , for QRP , QRPp .
A 2 watt and a 1 watt full scale reading would be the ultimate meter , although displaying a little more power would certainly not be a deal

Re: Finished to build QRSS TX
Hi all,
Additional info. as follows;
Transmit monitor Blue LED is connected to the PIN #2 of the PIC
chip. There appears about 2.5V-DC when transmitting.

Re: QRSS Scheduke
No problem.
Send me an e-mail once you are ok.
I have a beacon that I try to run every night between 1500z (when I go to bed) and 0000z.
My signal has been received by ZL2IK already and when I was

Re: QRSS TX Mod and Japanese QRSS situation
Hide,
I can turn on a grabber on 30m if you want tonight from around 1500z to 0000z monday.
Drop me a direct e-mail if you are ok.

QRSS TX Mod and Japanese QRSS situation
Hi friends,
I've uploaded my mod. of the QRSS TX kit.
I added the BCD Switch to select the 8-transmitting mode.
It works fine without adding the pull down resisters.
Please see the photos into

Re: Supply current question
Hi.
Thanks for the references you gave.
I measure my DC consumption and it is around 137mA at 5,5V with 100mW RF out.
That confirm my 2N7000 could draw more than expected and why it is hotter than

Re: Supply current question
Mine draws 65 - 70mA at 5V for 50mW out. When I increased the power to just below 100mW (which was the peak in my case) it increased to 120mA. Increasing the bias voltage beyond that it was more

Re: Final amplifier Bias
Hi Stephen,
Yes I checked R6 already and it is 6k8.
R8 is closer to 1,8K than the stated 2,2k in the schematic.
The closer potentiometer I have in my spare box is 5k.
I tried to had 1k to R6 but

Re: Supply current question
Mine draw around 85 mA at 5 volts.
Since you are at 6+ volts, I'd say your current is normal.

Supply current question
I have now managed to complete my 30m QRSS kit and was wondering how much current they should draw from the supply. Mine pulls roughly 100mA from 4 x AA batteries in series. Does that sound about

Re: [Knightsqrss] 80M SV beacon
Hans...& others
These QRSS beacons (and the grabbers) seem to be popping up on many bands
and on many frequencies. This seems to suggest that we each need QRSS Beacon
transmitters for all bands,

Keyer chip clarification
Hi all
Just some comments regarding the recent keyer chip thread:
1) Do NOT use 10K pull-ups! It won't work! You need pull-DOWN's! Not up! If you see this problem, then you can connect a 10K
