Re: #qmx #Firmware release 1_02_000 #qmx #firmware
An official ssb release, wow... Many thanks to you, Hans! BTW.. I asked once but might have been missed.. Could the difference since prev version of the manual be highlighted? It would be way easier

Re: QMX: C107 burned
In the US, you'd get directed to Jeff Moore-- He's able to do such repairs for you, he's good, and not expensive! I would imagine there's someone in Europe that can do the same repair, for you! Good

#qmx #Firmware release 1_02_000 #qmx #firmware
Hi all SSB firmware was released into beta on 17-Mar-2025 after 9+ months of development. Many thanks to everyone who bravely helped test it and patiently provided their feedback and observations.

Re: QMX: C107 burned
Based on the suggestions I received here and by email, I was able to narrow down the errors caused by the blown C107 and partially fix them. To decide how to proceed, I still have the following

Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
It's safe to run either one on less than 9 volts. You want to try to limit the output power to 5 watts or less. If it's built for 9 volts, then the output power into a 50 ohm dummy load will be close

Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
An educated guess, 12 volt. Try to count the number of windings and compare to the online instructions for QMX transformers.

Re: QMX PTT timing
Hi Hans Thanks for considering PTT TX delay for CW on the QMX's The configuration I use with the PA50+ is semi QSK only. Full break in is out of the question due to T/R relay functions in PA50+. I do

Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
If you have a variable voltage power supply, you could feed them with 9v and see what output you get to a dummy load, and compare with the graphs in the manual. Roger 8P6RX ?Get BlueMail for Android

Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
I purchased both a QDX and a QMX at an estate sale and I'm not sure which voltage they are built for.? I see in the manual that the T1 transformer can be wound 3:3 or 3:2 depending on what voltage

Re: Audio Setting on QMX +
I took always have to increase the "audio gain" on certain bands to get WSJT-X to decode properly. (I use Ubuntu 24.04). 73 -- David Thomas M0OOR

Re: Amplifier suggestions for the QMX+
People like the micro PA50+, particularly after upgrading to the latest firmware. As mentioned, using wired PTT might be safer than RF sense. The PA50+ does have some ACC output, and I believe people

de minimis shipping to US from China is ending
President Trump has signed an Executive Order that ends the tariff/duty exemption on small value shipments (i.e. < 800 USD) sent from China to the US. ?It is not made clear if this change will apply

While scanning the configuration results, I saw what looked like a prompt to run the routine on a single band.? Perhaps that was wishful thinking???? or perhaps a feature request. I have? 2 and 3
