Re: OCXO/Si5351A Synth kit help needed
It's good to hear you've found yours is working OK! I've just completed the "build the boxes" segment of the OCXO kit, and still trying hard not to file too much off the main PCB getting it to fit

Re: OCXO/Si5351A Synth kit help needed
Hi Bob, I have done another check today however i can not check the 3.3V at pin 2 of IC2 yet as i have not proceeded that far with IC2 in place. I did find the signal on 27Mhz at exactly on 26.998.00

Re: Receiver IMD performance to expect: -45 dB?
IMD testing is quite difficult at the best of times, as there can be numerous traps.I suspect the SI5351 might produce quite a lot of artifacts when used? in dual generator mode. The two frequency

Re: Help still stuck on contrast adjustment
If you have a counter, ?check the two outputs on the SI. There are pins of the board for these outputs. That ?test will make troubleshooting easier -- 73, Bernie, VE3FWF

Re: OCXO/Si5351A Synth kit help needed
2.3V at the collector of Q3 might be about right considering the possible voltage drop across R8 ... but better to check that there is 3.3V at pin 2 of IC2 (the 3.3V OSC regulator). Keep in mind that

I wanted to see if I could lower the receive current of the QCX even more by replacing the 7805 regulator.? I had a switching regulator laying around from a previous project, as I usually buy a

Re: Parts replacements (cooked) - help needed #qcx
Hi Sean You can use ordinary ceramics for those capacitors, NP0/C0G are not necessary. All the QRP Labs kits use NP0/C0G for the small value capacitors, 1nF and under. Ordinary ceramic capacitors are

Hi Luc Using a 0.1uF capacitor reduces the available receiver gain by 14dB. The QCX receiver already has a lot of gain, probably more than needed on the lower bands anyway, so it might not be a
