Re: My 40M QCX shipped yesterday!
Same here! Excitement mounting.(S.N. 2383) I've already built one, and it worked beautifully until I messed it up. Soon I'll be able to use my new one to compare voltage readings, waveforms etc. and

Hans, Is this still on the agenda? ?Auto detect would be nice but a menu option will do. Regards Simon VK3ELH

Power lag issue on QCX #qcx
On key down at low supply voltages there is a lag before reaching the final power. Example: For a 11.5V supply it starts at 1W, and there is a delay of several seconds before a fairly rapid increase,

trimpot value? #qcx
I'm working through a build of the QCX, and noticed that the trimpot in my kit (R47) may be incorrect - it is marked '103' (10K value)? instead of '104' (100K value) as the instructions call for.?

Re: Low cost L-C meters
Several years ago I built several SMDR kits, I had bought a Commercial type LC meter but it wouldn't read the coils, then I found out about the AADE LC checker kit, easy to build and all of us that

Re: Low cost L-C meters
They exist. Well, not perfect, but quite good. They're called Vector Network Analyzers. They can give you very precise measurements of resistance, capacitance, and inductance over a wide range of

Re: Low cost L-C meters
The trouble with all of these LCR meters is rarely do they test at frequencies where you will be using the parts. The best solution ive found is to set up a test jig with my spectrum analyzer with a

Re: Sorry Re: [QRPLabs] Magnet Wire " of colour "
I bought some enamelled "craft wire" in a craft/sewing shop a few years ago and one packet proved to be of ALUMINIUM wire. I've since observed that flower arrangers and sewing shops are unaware of any

deleted the old post to correct bandpass to low pass Correct (August). I completely hosed the range conversion up in my post. Here's what I see at the BNC jack using the 50¦¸ termination on the probe.

Hi all, I use Peak Electronics LCR45. It is not cheap but it is good. The DCA Semiconductor Analyser is also good. www.peakelec.co.uk 73 Roger G4IUP.

Hello Bernd, Yes, I am checking those coils points to see if it might be that problem. I may have to pull the coils and remount them. ? I was hoping it might be something else that I was missing,

I put the WSPR on a Bob, However you check you are likely to see multiple "signals". The important thing is the levels of these compared with the fundamental as shown by the WSPR decoder. This is

Re: key short the first dash
Hi Viktor! I think it is a problem with key contacts. If you pass through the contacts of the 5-10 mA DC at the moment of contact, it destroys the thin oxide film and makes the contact more reliable.
