Re: QCX, 20m Bandpass modified, T37-6 cores out of tolerance
I built a 20M version but used Micrometals T37-6 toriods, however I also had to wind 14 & 15 turns as per your chart to get the inductances within acceptable tolerance. I get 3W out with about 12V in.

Re: U3 V3.03b no power output after connecting QLG1
Colin,
There is a simple alternative to the 'scope for RF tracing.
A diode probe, for example https://sites.google.com/site/g4zfqradio/levels-measured-in-a-softrock-tx#diodeprobe And many other

Re: Two-band QCX (20 and 17m), is it possible?
Hi all
The QCX may not work across multiple bands at the moment. When you set the
Band menu item, this setting is used in the configuration of the Si5351A
for quadrature output. If you tune several

Re: U3 V3.03b no power output after connecting QLG1
Hi Hans,
Thank you for your reply, I do not have an oscilloscope (I even had to look up the spelling) and have never been any good at fault finding (my wife would not agree) so I will buy the new

Re: QCX Start up problem (New discovery)
Hi Eddie
The power supply I use is http://hanssummers.com/radiopsu - a homebrew
supply from some years back, it has separate 12V 5A regulated and 5V 5A
regulated outputs, and current metering. There

QCX Start up problem (New discovery)
Yes, since the birth of my 40m QCX, I have it too, the dreaded start up problem, and usually need to cycle the power to get the QCX running. Not serious but irritating.
What's interesting though, I

Re: QCX Build in a ALU case
If I had to build my 40m QCX all over again, this is the route I would follow.
Neat! Well done.

Re: QCX, 20m Bandpass modified, T37-6 cores out of tolerance
-2 are red.
-6 are yellow.
QPR labs Lowpass Filters come with Yellow for 40m and up, 60 and down are red.

Re: QCX 40 sn 1167 with TOO MUCH POWER OUT
I've been thinking the same. Giving the high number of kits being constructed obviously the vast majority (myself included and I've never put together more than a small Pixie) have had no problems:

QCX, 20m Bandpass modified, T37-6 cores out of tolerance
Because I red of low output in the 20m version, I wired? and mounted L1,L2,L3 together with C25,C26,C27,C28 on a tiny board and had a look at this with a network analyzer. Found that the filter has

see the schematic.
Red is steady on bij 5 Volt
Green is the hartbeat every second
Orange is the bit stream to external device (the QCX). You can watch the bit stream on a scoop.

Just a note to mention that QCX #928 40M arrived on Dec 2.
I have #625 80M all built except I haven't wound the toroids
yet. That means it's been a week since I did anything
on #625. I'm doing my best
