I purchased a SMD rework device from Amazon after it was recently?reviewed in QST. The focused hot air blast cleared several holes for me with no damage to nearby SMD components. I believe it was less than $40. ?

When I replaced the relays in my son's uBitX I tried ?with a solder sucker.? That stuff is also amazing.? After wiping with alcohol, the board is like new.
