Dear all,
Upfront I need to apologize for the unprofessional drawing, but its the best way to explain what I would like everyone to review and provide comments on.? I need to connect a DPDT relay to disconnect the 10w linear amp after the TX part of the communication that will enable the QDX to receive signals by bypassing the amp.??
Please look at my design.? 0v will bias the amp for TX and 5v will switch it off.? The 5v signal will switch the relay to receive mode that will enable the QDX to receive signals from the antenna and 0v will enable the TX path.
Thanks everyone

First thing that strikes me is that the QDX PTT outputs are via 470 ohm resistors.? It is unlikely that this will provide enough current to operate a 5V DPDT relay.? The PTT is intended to drive a transistor switch, typically.
And, as Allison says, it's a waste of time going for a just 10W output as the increase in power is negligible in practical terms.
