I am debugging low power output on my build of QDX v3 (I observe ~3.6w on all bands).
My QDX assembled for 9v with T1 wound 3:3.
output pk2pk is ~37v, which indeed should produce ~3.5w to 50ohm load.
Looking at schematics, push-pull power amplifier should be connected to +12v through L14.?
I'm not sure where +12v should appear from on that point and can't figure out from schematics either. I have power supply voltage there - 9v.
if I understand its functioning correctly, I should be getting output pk2pk of 4x voltage applied to L14, which is indeed what I am seeing, and it aligns with 37v pk2pk and 3.5w output.
IF there were 12v, I would indeed be getting 5.6w output.
hence questions:
1) Where is it supposed to get +12v on L14 from?
2) If it's supposed to have 9v (and schematics is not completely correct), where is my understanding wrong, and how is it going to produce 5w output?
