I have a 20 meter QCX+ that I am using for WSPR. It does not have a QCXO, and WSPR shows +3 to +4 drift which, IMHO is rather high. My TCXO rigs for 40 show 0 drift, as does my FT-817ND with a TCXO.
I'd like to retrofit my QCX+ for a TCXO, and there appears to be a kit for it. It look like I remove one capacitor and wire it in -- I assume there are instructions with the TCXO kit. Then, re-calibrate it as per the documentation.
Is there much more to do it?? BTW, I did built the QCX+ from a kit, and it works fine, "as is" for 20 meter CW.?
