I doubt the U3 eep file is enough to fool the "use original IC" capture, but nothing to loose,
You are not going to "break" anything they are both 328's
There MAYBE different fuse, brown out etc flags set.
The worst case scenario is that you will need erase / reflash this time with the correct eep file for the firmware
and the settings table all available from Hans

You could be the first person to post a picture of their QCX running the new firmware screen on the group,
The race maybe on....
