On power up of the QCX, would it be possible to detect the presence of a QLG1 gps receiver, then give the user a simple menu??
1) Calibrate oscillators and set clock
2) Start beacon mode
This would prevent the GPS module from keying the rig unintentionally, as well as allow a beacon operator the opportunity to "calibrate" their QCX before the first beacon transmission.
