I think the manual could benefit from a lot more clarity in what steps to take before switching to WSPR - and plugging in the external GPS.? Don't plug in the GPS in the CW mode !? I recall a few other steps that I don't remember.?
funny thing is those BS170's can make a lot of smoke (from the plastic case) and sometimes still work.?
a lot of settings with these qrp-labs rigs -- and not all are foolproof - so proceed with caution.? I made some nice cw QSOs with the QCX, and the U3S is making WSPR quite well after it found itself into the correct spectrum (after enough cal cycles).
I have QRM'ed the list enough - time to be QRU and QRT here.
