For my QCX, I was about to build up a small speaker box using an LM386 amp and a 2.25" speaker (one that has a substantial magnet, rubber suspended speaker cone, and tweeter), but then I got to thinking that maybe the QCX audio amp chip is enough to drive a speaker directly.? Anyone know if the QCX will drive a speaker directly (.5 to 1 watt speaker) without damaging the audio amp chip?
