I suspect that many people have missed
the point that the new group is on facebook and not a yahoo or groups.io
reflector set up.

Facebook offers advantages over the
original forum format in as far as you don't have to read what you have no
interest in especially where (as with yahoo/io groups) so many people NEVER
change the header of their message and simply append a meaningless addendum to
the original heading. (Yes I'm in grumpy mode)
