yes those snap-in switches!? note the connections are to hold the part on the board (long enough to solder) as well as electrical connection.? it's a feature - a rare part that won't fall off the board when soldering!?
keep asking questions, even if only to yourself!? sometimes your DVM can solve the mystery - if not, ask.? expect to run into 'strange-to-you' parts as you build.?

do determine a kit you will use afterwards -- the U3S is fun to see where your RF is going (or not in these days of scarcer ions) -- and the QCX is a fun rig to operate.?
