Re: Rasberry Pi WSPR Decode

Ken

Sorry for the confusion, it was in the body of my email.

It should have read "My Rx and Tx? audio setting OPTIONS? are as per the attached pics and for me, the TX setting isn't relevant as I'm using a U3S..... etc"

Looking back at your earliest post it doesn't say which version of the Pi you're using. For WSPR decoding I haven't used other than a Pi 3, and if you have a Pi 2, perhaps the suggestion by Andy, 9A3JH may be appropriate ? Several months ago I did try an early Pi (and optimistically, a Pi Zero) but without success.

Other than that I can only think that it's? either the WSJT-X and Raspbian versions which are causing the problem. IF you are using a Pi3, perhaps installing earlier WSJT-X 1.7.0 and Raspbian.? A it of a pain for sure.

Hi Dave,
I too cannot get WSJT-X v1.8.0 to recognise my soundcard on my Raspberry Pi.
I get a long list of options but my nearest input to yours is:-?Input??sysdefaultCARD=SET (not 'Device') and Output?? sysDefaultCARD= ALSA is there but does not work. All I get at start up is an error message in WSJT-X is 'Error in Sound Input' then 'Error in Sound Output' and 'Audio data not being fed to the audio input device fast enough'. Early versions of WSPR found my USB soundcard straight away. Any ideas what to try next please? Ken G4APB
