I am getting ready to order the OLG1 GPS for my 20 meter QCX.
Has anyone used the unit with the supplied antenna mounted externally.
My case is metal so i am sure it will not work well internal but if i put it on the metal case with a short coax jumper will it be sufficient?

The QLG1 antenna is tuned to suit the PCB it sits on.
An extension should work but if you consider the size of the ground plane maybe it will work better.
