Allen,
after checking which programs are indispensably for me, there are
indeed for four programs which are Win-only, So I reduced within Win
the partition size and installed on the free space Linux. I don't want
to clutter this thread so if you need some more information we can do
it privately via email.

Thanks, but it will be a long time before I know Linux as well as I know
Windows.
I have spent lots of time, seems to me Linux is not so easy if you want to
do more than browse and email:-) I still do not know how to replicate all my
Windows apps on Linux.
It is a few years, what flavour should I try next?
