Anyone having a QLG1 sitting powered could measure the battery voltage on the 6-pin header and see if it's charged or not.
I found the battery was not charged in my unit. That's why I started this thread.
Easy way to fix this, from the 6-pin connector +V BAT put a 10K resistor and a forward biased diode (1N4148 will do) in series to drop the voltage down a bit and connect to +3.3V (perhaps at R7).
I cannot understand how a 3.3V supply will charge a 3.0V battery through a diode. The 5V supply might work although the rate of charge may not be satisfactory for differing usage/storage cycles. In any case, there appears to be no "automatically" :-(
