As far as the manual, I'll agree it is one of the lengthiest manuals I've seen, but that's inevitable since it's also one of the most complex radios I've seen. So, my comment refers to the many things it leaves out, and frankly some of those are some pretty basic functions. (Of course on the positive side, the complicated nature of the rig also means that it's very flexible for those who have a lot of time on their hands and like to fiddle with things,? push the boundaries,? etc. I'm managing our horse ranch and so have far less time than some do, so randomly punching buttons and turning knobs until I discover how to do something just isn't for everyone. I'm glad there are people who enjoy doing that because we all benefit, but that's not me).
