Thanks for your reply. I am pleased to say I have fixed the problem by forcing the update firmware function by grounding Aux2 which brought up the USB drive. I then copied across again the firmware file (even though it apparently showed up ok initially on the PC) and it then rebooted and fired up normally. I can only assume that my first attempt at copying the file across went wrong in some way.
