I can only vouch for some 6 x QRP LABS Ultimate TX's as used for 10-15 years.

I used turned pin sockets on all the PA's.

Results - ZERO failures due to sockets.

The only failures I had where CONTROLLED failures when I purposely wanted
to see how I could destory BS170's with heat /over volts / high SWR's and in
the name of research.

ZERO issues beause of sockets.

ZERO issues when the user applies basic and fundamental parameters
to the devices under test ;-)
