Yes, using the preselect list is fast and easy way to change to a predefined band/frequency.
My suggestion is for general band-hopping without exact frequencies.
Select + Tune selects the band by stepping one band up/down.
Select + Vol selects the audio filter, possibly from a list of preferred filters (that does not yet exist)
