I ended up sending my rig over to Jeff W1NC. He was extremely helpful and get my rig sorted out. I highly recommend anyone plagued with issues after assembly make use of his service if you're looking for help. Here's what he had to say about my situation:
Both SMPS boards had peaks of solder that would cause short circuits below - reflowed all connector joints
I was not quite able to detect these issues with my skill set / tools at home. I think the problematic area was the bottom of the connectors facing the main PCB. Thank you all again for your input and assistance in this thread. Excited to get on the air and take the QMX for a spin. 73! K4HYD
