The plan was to build the amplifier chain on a test PCB and I have already all parts at hand.
However, for now I will leave it as it is.

Current consumption for producing 5W from 160 to 10M is very similar to the what I find on my K2.

Building for 9V has the benefit that there is a bit more leaway for overvoltage situations.
So far all BS170's are still intact. The only intended use is CW. We will see how long it lasts.
The high SWR protection has already saved my day a couple of times.

Regarding output power control, an oversized amplier throttled back via software can be? amazing accurate as demonstrated in m RGO-ONE??

The next plan is to build a solid state T/R switch with SMD parts for feeding a RSP1A, incorporating also a relay switched 6 dB attenuator which is needed when tuning my remote installed LDG-Z100.
