I have been using Hans recommended microphone from DigiKey with no changes to the firmware settings and have had good success withSSB QSO¡¯s. I have made twenty five plus POTA contacts. This is a two year old QMX with original finals.?

I have the 60m-15m QMX ,the calibration started on 60m and worked its way to 15m when the BS170's gave up (almost made it). The voltage suddenly droped to ~6V from just below 9V (wired for 9V) and I quit immediately. DigiKey also sells CHIPQUIK solder wick 2.8mm which cleaned up the holes perfectly to replace the BS170's.? Only one had blown, but I replaced all 4.? All seems fine so far. I will now experiment with SSB without the calibration until a revised calibration update becomes available.? My thought is that there should be a pause button between bands to allow the QMX to cool down, before going to the next band as a possible solution to manage the heat buidup?? ?
