Errick,
?
I will need to draw something up. I used some covered 4 lead salvaged from a non working USB cable. Basically just followed the ICOM 8 pin pinouts for the IC-7300/HM-219 and attached the mic and PTT grounds to the 3,5 mm stereo ground (shaft), the mic+ to the ring, and PTT+ to the tip.
?
For the headset, I used a 3,5mm in-line socket for the mic ground (shaft contact) and mic+ to the tip contact. I nipped off the ring contact to get it out of the way and reduce the chance for a short when I reassembled the socket cover. I did some adhesive shrink tubing for cosmetics and extra strain relief. ?I used a 1/4” phone jack for the PTT line so I could use a foot pedal or aircraft strap on PTT switch. Nothing elegant there. The headset phone lead just plugs in to the phone jack on the front panel.
?
For the HM-219 microphone, I used an in-line 8pin male connector and just connected the appropriate pins to get the mic and PTT function from the HM-219 to the QMX+ mic/key socket as described in the first paragraph.
?
Hope that helps.
