Jerry,? you may have misinterpreted Lars statement about disabling the shaping.? He disabled the shaping done by fldigi, which conflicts with the shaping done by QMX firmware, causing transmission dropouts in the rtty generated by fldigi. So it has to be turned off for fldigi rtty to work. But the QMX shaping should still be there, eliminating the spikes.? Unless,? of course he also somehow disabled the QMX shaping.??
