Re: Argo - Display Actual Radio Frequency

I set my receiver to 10.139000 USB
Also set Argo to 10139000 Setup/calibration

This takes care of the offset and you get a proper read out in the LHS

Hope that helps

Hi Gang

Just built my 3rd QRSS beacon - this time it's the Hans Arduino shield. Mighty fine piece of kit too!

I've managed to completely confuse myself with the setup of Argo and hence the frequency adjustment. Whilst I am sure this is a question every idiot like me asks, but I cant find the answer by searching the group.

I have my Yaesu radio tuned to 10.140.00 and in USB mode. How do I configure Argo so the RHS shows me the actual frequency rather than the reading in Hz that I see right now.

I think I need to worry about carrier offsets and other such complications, but not too sure. The example in the instructions shows the Argo screen with 1230 - 1320 Hz shown and I'm struggling with my little brain to understand how that relates to 10.140.00 through 10.140.10.

If someone can point me at a suitable idiots guide to setting this beacon up I would be very grateful.

If all goes to plan this week I will be putting this on the air as A71/G0MGX next week from Doha.

Many thanks,

Mark. G0MGX
