I have used Talentcell 3000 mAh packs on both QMX and QMX+ for over a year with good results. They come from Amazon and include a charger and cable..$23. Fully charged they provide 12.2 volts.
I have come to dislike the tiny wall warts as they contain switching supplies that are noisy. The heavy transformer based ones are very quiet but I find that they are often very unregulated and many put out 15-17v lightly loaded. Some may put out 12v under
50% or more of rated max load but often not. They used to have good regulators in them but the newer cheap ones dont. Test your supplies with no, light and goodly loads to be certain. I like 1157 turn signal bulbs and other incandescent bulbs or better yet
25w resistors of assorted configurations. I have lost several projects to supposedly 12v supplies that put out 15-17v at over 1 amp load. I really like the new 12v 6 amp/hour lithium? battery packs. Light small and a very stable output voltage tho you need
a proper charger for them.
