Today I added the bypass switch and sneaked a few wires between the boards, as it felt weird with powering all relays during reset.
In fact only relay 1, which toggles the C's between antenna and tranceiver side powers up. So, the reset clears all LC!
Dirk,
?
I also thought that bypass switch is not important, so I did not route it. However, during our discussions I realized that this project is more about all of us learning and experimenting than just me alone :)

In ver.1.2 I have added a second bilateral switch CD4066BE that allows controlling the bypass button on PIC ATU firmware from Arduino code. Its control input wired to Arduino digital pin D7 (PD7 pin of ATMEGA328P, DIP pin 13). You can check the schematics. No code implemented yet, but you can use existing sketch code patterns to experiment with it.

The output of a bilateral switch is connected to the pin 4 of J1 socket. So, if you connect bypass button pin of the ATU to the pin4 of J1 on the ATU Mount PCB using a jumper wire - you will get an end-to end circuit that will allow you to experiment with a bypass button from Arduino.
