Reassuring that the load is fairly constant.
Interesting or not, I would not vary the Vdd load if the 3.3v SMPS
is still hooked up to the rest of the board.

A case of me creating a problem that doesn't need solving.

I'm not saying that wouldn't be interesting. But it wouldn't be normal operation, in a QMX the load current does not change much.?
