I am building a QMX+ and doing well with a 1 mm chisel tip on my Hakko. I think that I read something from Hans saying that the board design matches well with a 1 or 2 mm tip. I’ve completed all of the discrete components and most of the wound toroids and it has gone smoothly compared with a QDX-M that I built with the “wrong“ solder and tip.?
