If you are into building it yourself, then Elektor precision power supply.
Desinge from 1983, i have 2 of them 3A and 1A regulated, they work like a charm. Stable even at full load when i do audi amps repair.

Other then that for small lab experiments any 1A power supply with transformer (not switching) power supply will do. Dont buy the cheapest one Hi.
