#qmx #qmx+ #firmware release 1_00_025 #qmx #firmware

Hi all

Well, I got The LFB to sleep and then I got to some bug fixing... 1_00_025 is now on the QMX page and I have deleted the link to 1_00_024 since I think there is risk of it not working on installation, if the selected CW filter was more than the 8th in the list in 1_00_023. I added several other bug fixes in 1_00_025 too, as follows:
  1. Bug fix: Fixed hang with msg "Initializing audio system" in some cases which happened on firmware upgrade to 024
  2. Bug fix: Prevent initial CW decoder buffer being filled with S-meter characters!
  3. Bug fix: CW-R now works properly (when enabled, is in LSB mode, automatically)
  4. Bug fix: During RIT mode, left rotary encoder button functions not working (power down, band & mode change)
  5. Bug fix: Diagnostics screen 160m TX didn't work until you change bands and come back to 160m
  6. Bug fix: Audio in Diagnostics screen sounded awful if you were in Digi mode when you opened it
Since these are only bug fixes, there is no new operating manual for 1_00_025, the operating manual for 1_00_024 is equally applicable to 1_00_025.?

Hi Lex, all,

I fixed it in version 1_00_025 which is now on the QMX page

I was able to very that setting the CW Width index to one of the filters beyond the 8th (in version 1_00_023) then caused the system to hang on power-up after?the upgrade to 1_00_024, as the CPU went off into unbounded memory. In 025 I have added some constraints so this can no longer happen.?

Hans G0UPL : I suspect the problem with the upgrade to 024 happens if you had selected a CW filter in 023 that was higher than the 8th in the list. Then I think under the new filter interpretation in 024, that causes the code to go off into memory somewhere outside of where it should be... . I think if you select filter "None" for example, then do the upgrade to 024, everything will work fine.?
Thanks for you feedback.

I did play with the filters so might have left it on one of the lasts filters so that might well be the cause.
And also will explain why downgrading to 023, doing a factory reset and then upgrading to 024 works
The factory reset will reset list indexes to 0 (or NULL) making every value work OK in 024.
