To use an ATU on the QMX/QMX+, go into the settings on the radio, Hardware Tests, then Tune SWR. Select the band you want to use, then press TUNE button on the ATU, and then start the SWR Tune on the radio. It is a bit of a PITA to have to do this every time you change bands, but it does work.
