Once a capacitor is installed what is the most effective way to immediately confirm the solder joint was correctly done? I do a visual inspection after each component is installed, checking for a well-formed solder fillet. But is there a better way to confirm via a test or measurement that the solder joint is solid (I.e. not a cold joint)?

I just check with DMM from board edge of filet to component lead before I clip the lead.
The Plus is the first time I have doubted my soldering skills.
