Not exactly on the topic of power input requirements/limits for the 10W amp . . .
But folks might like to be aware of the following bare PCB kit from QPRBuilder.com if they want to otherwise experiment with the 10W kit.
T/R Switch/LPF Adapter for Power Amplifier.
Looked interesting and I even noodled what would be needed for the pi attenuator to use with the QMX.?
Then I decided it was a bit beyond my capabilities, especially for testing for output purity.
Though I suspect that more than a few of the folks I see here on the group might have better skills and interest.

I'm sure it's written somewhere. Gain varies from build to build and +/-1dB across frequency, and with supply voltage. But generally the required power input to get a solid 10W output is in the range 25-30mW.?
