I have made a QDX and it is really a superb bit of equipment.
I am however having trouble getting the PTT to work with an “ordinary” linear amplifier as opposed to QCX 50 amplifier. I have been into the terminal applications mode and have disabled the +5 v PTT settings and enabled the PTT grounded for both transmit and receive. Obviously the PTT is activated on the linear when grounded, but despite activating these settings neither the pin nor the ring on the 3.5mm jack switches the linear on.
Do I need to remove Q12 and Q13 along withR5 and R42 (as per p age 19 of the QDX operating manual) to get this to work.?
