Daniel, I've seen this happen when the low side of the volume pot is not securely soldered to ground. Ground in this case means all the way from the low side of the volume pot to ground on the main board. Please make sure you have continuity there..... Ron

I built a 30 meter QCX mini Rev. 2 a couple of years ago and it was working fine. I used it on and off for a year and then put it on the shelf.? I took it down and tried to use it this week, and now the audio is very loud, with some digital noise in the background that increases of decreases depending on the position of the input cables and whether or not I'm touching a cable or the case, or the key body. I went through it and touched up all suspect solder joints, and reseated the board pin connectors. That seemed to stabilize things, but did not eliminate the problem, and the audio still seems to be too loud. Could this be a C21, C22 problem?
Thank you for your assistance!?
