I use long string extensions to the EFHW instead of end supports.? If the mast is near the operator the wire goes up with only a short extension string to elevate the matching unit.? The far end of the EFHW has several metres of string (actually 1.6mm nylon blind cord) which keeps the end of the EFHW at about half the height of the mast.?
